A new Measurement Widget displays measurement results and tolerances, and all test results can now be viewed in the customizable UUT Status Panel. In addition, existing tools, such as the ViPX Netlist Explorer, have been enhanced, and the VarioTAP model library (processor emulation) has been further expanded. This further optimizes the use of GÖPEL electronic boundary scan test systems, making test program creation faster and more efficient.

SYSTEM CASCON is a fully integrated software platform that enables the fully automated generation of test programs for boundary scanning tests. The software can, for example, utilize CAD data, network lists, and component lists, translating them into interpretable test routines. This allows for the optimization of modern integrated JTAG solutions and unlocks their full potential. The system software offers a comprehensive set of tools for the automatic generation of test programs, comprising more than 40 different tools. These include, but are not limited to, boundary scanning/IEEE 1149.x tests, processor emulation tests, FPGA-assisted tests, and integrated diagnostic tests. Furthermore, SYSTEM CASCON features functions for design validation, debugging, and various scheduling strategies, as well as for interfacing with other external test equipment.

The SYSTEM CASCON toolset and automatic test program generation are based on a comprehensive model library. This library contains over 18,000 detailed models. These models include detailed descriptions of port properties and functional descriptions, thus forming the basis for test program generation. Users can view, modify, or even create any model in the CASCON library. The library also includes a wide range of boundary scan blocks
(BSDL – Boundary Scan Description Language), as well as RAM, FLASH, logic, and buffer components.

SYSTEM CASCON manages the entire serial test bus protocol. With the help of integrated tools, a high degree of automation can be achieved, from importing CAD and CAE data to generating and documenting the final test program. The software also offers comprehensive support for verification-based debugging. This means that the development phase in the lab, in particular, benefits from the ability to test even the most complex designs down to the system level with minimal effort.
