For example, in the new Workbench interface, the pre-selection list has been replaced by a clear home page with animated images. This allows the user to get a quick overview, as if they were in a virtual machine room. With a single click, they can select the desired machine and immediately access the correct programming interface for their NC program: ShopMill/ShopTurn step-by-step machining programming, programGuide, or G-code language supported by Cycles, or DIN and ISO instructions.

The DXF (Drawing eXchange File Format) reader, a new feature in Sinutrain 4.7, simplifies both data exchange with CAD systems and program creation. CAD data is read with just a few clicks, and part programs are created much faster. The ability to create new machine tools has also been improved. Optionally, the IBN (commissioning) file can be read from the machine tools, making all data stored on the CNC machine available in Sinutrain. For example, Manufacturer Cycles, including machine manufacturer cycle images, can be copied from the actual machine to Sinutrain.

The standard machining process templates in Sinutrain 4.7 have also been expanded. These allow users to quickly create executable programs, for example, for lathes and milling machines. Furthermore, they include not only turning with or without a tailstock and 3- to 5-axis milling, but also combination turning and milling.

This makes it possible to create functional programs for machine tools easily, regardless of their size, power, or manufacturer.

Another new feature is the free basic version of Sinutrain 4.7, with no execution restrictions. Sinutrain Basic can be downloaded here and is particularly useful for sales and basic training. For example, demonstration machine programs for 3-axis milling machines or 2-axis lathes can be transferred and run on the corresponding machining centers just as with the full version. Special training packages are also available for educational institutions, including student licenses and additional programming manuals.

General information about Sinutrain

Sinutrain is a Windows-based PC CNC programming station for machine tool controllers. It features an identical controller and uses the same software and user interface as Siemens' Sinumerik controllers. Sinutrain is used for operations planning, training, and sales. Manufacturing companies use the software in their operations planning to program and simulate the next job in advance on an offline computer. This avoids blocking expensive CNC machine tools, and programming is performed during training in the same way as on the actual machines. Machine sales representatives and controller manufacturers only need a laptop to demonstrate machine tool processes. Sinutrain has the same Sinumerik Operate user interface as Sinumerik machine tool controllers, so technicians can work in the same design environment both offline and directly on the machine.
