The v.3.0 update of the LX-GPS system software includes among its most notable new features: the ability to view captured illuminance measurements in GIS environments,
the option to record illuminance in a static position, and the ease of creating different files from an initial file of the collected measurements.
• Illuminance measurements with their GPS position, obtained from any type of vehicle by the LX-GPS probes, can be exported to a DXF or SHP file, in either UTM coordinates or decimal degrees. This allows them to be inserted into Geographic Information System applications, such as ArcGIS or AutoCAD.
• Another important new feature is the option to record illuminance measurements statically without GPS positioning, by selecting the desired recording frequency. The LX-GPS system can be left in a specific location and collect illuminance variations for each fixed time interval, for example, every 5 seconds or every minute.
Finally, the Save As function allows you to create different files from the initial file of collected measurements, providing more customized sections based on the installation's characteristics: type of luminaire, track width, spacing, height, etc. Furthermore, to facilitate the correct identification of the different sections, you can edit the Project and Task data in the measurement files, both the initial one and those created from it.
This new version is available on the Afeisa website for all LX-GPS users to download for free.
In conclusion, this v.3.0 update enhances the performance of the LX-GPS system and expands its field of application, facilitating the analysis of illuminance measurements in lighting installations.
