Power Integrations announces the DER-323, a reference design for an 18W, 88% efficient, non-isolated A19 LED driver based on the LNK460VG, a low-profile integrated circuit from LinkSwitch™'s PL family. The design is suitable for replacing a 100W incandescent bulb and is optimized for low-voltage operation (90 VAC to 135 VAC). The low-cost circuit requires only a simple single-sided board and 25 components. No encapsulation is required, and the transformer is replaced by a low-cost inductor.
