The project was designed to ensure reliable power backup for both the data center and the rest of the headquarters facilities, even in the event of prolonged power outages. Responding to the client's requirement for robust equipment capable of operating for extended periods without external reliance, Genesal Energy integrated a 995-liter fuel tank directly into the generator's base, optimizing available space and providing a high level of autonomy that guarantees several hours of continuous operation. The solution also incorporates a 250A 4P 230V motorized transfer switch, enabling a quick and safe transition between the electrical grid and the generator, ensuring that data center operations are not interrupted in critical situations. The system is completed with separate power and control cabinets, integrated into a dedicated electrical room within the soundproof enclosure.

The project's development was the result of a collaborative effort between the engineering team and the Genesal Energy plant staff. After reviewing the client's specifications, existing designs were adapted to meet the requirements for power, autonomy, and space. The 3D design and final drawings were validated with the client before manufacturing began, allowing for process optimization and anticipation of potential challenges during assembly. As part of the validation process, the client visited Genesal Energy's facilities to witness the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), conducted at the factory to verify the generator set's proper functioning before shipment. Following these tests, the client approved the solution, validating both its performance and its suitability to the stated requirements. Beyond the technical aspects, the project also included the aesthetic customization of the generator set, whose enclosure was painted in the client's corporate colors, facilitating its visual integration into the facility's surroundings.

“Data centers require extremely reliable energy solutions, capable of responding immediately and sustainably to any network incident. This project reflects our ability to design custom equipment that guarantees the operational continuity of critical infrastructures, while consolidating our position in a strategic and rapidly expanding sector such as data centers, both in Spain and internationally,” said José Manuel Fernández, CEO and CCO of Genesal Energy.
