Mouser already offers ISI's PCI Express XMC modules, such as the XU-AWG, which features two high-speed 8-lane serial links compatible with PCIe Gen 3. The XU-AWG's XMC card features two Analog Devices AD9162 16-bit digital-to-analog converters (DACs) operating standard at a 5 GSPS refresh rate.

The module supports 1x to 24x interpolation with sub-nanosecond channel-to-channel synchronization alignment. External synchronization and triggering inputs are provided for multi-module synchronization, enabling scalability of the RF channel count. A Xilinx Kintex® Ultrascale XCKU060 FPGA with 4 GB of DDR4 RAM powers the high-performance DSP core for demanding applications such as radar and wireless IF generation. Mouser also offers the XA-160M PCI Express XMC module for high-speed stimulus-response, ultrasonic, and servo control applications.

The module has two 16-bit, 160 MSPS ADC inputs and two 16-bit, 615 MSPS DAC outputs. The PCIe interface features a flexible and expandable data packet system that delivers data rates up to 1600 MBps. Various internal and external timing and triggering modes provide application flexibility and multi-module expandability. A Xilinx Artix®-7 FPGA, supported by 256Mx16 memory, provides data acquisition control, signal processing, buffering, and system interface functions.

With the Framework Logic toolset, the XA-160M's logic can be fully customized using VHDL and Simulink platforms. ISI's x8-lane XMC PCIe adapter allows the use of a single-width XMC module in a PCI Express slot.

The XMC module is compatible with VITA 42.3 and supports up to eight PCI Express lanes. The adapter is completely transparent to PCI Express, with all PCI Express host bus signals connected directly to the XMC module.
