To this end, Neoway plans to launch two new modules this year.
The N28 module will feature LTE Category M1 + NB-IoT, and the N27 module will feature LTE Category M1 + NB-IoT + GPRS + GPS. Both modules will have drivers for Windows, Linux, and Android.
Qualcomm's 9205 chipset was launched in December 2018 and has already been confirmed for use in designs by 16 manufacturers.
This new chipset aims to eliminate the concerns we face when designing devices based on these new technologies, as it allows us to use multiple technologies with a single module depending on network availability, country, or geographic area where the device will be located.
Neoway has also offered the N20 module since 2018, which combines LTE Category M1 (eMTC) + NB-IoT + GPRS in a single module—a solution similar to the N28 but without GPS.
These modules are suitable for location or tracking applications, counters, security systems, alarms, sensors, and all types of low-power equipment for applications.
