The program of activities will highlight how European research is providing answers to the most complex challenges in high-performance computing and embedded systems. Keynote presentations will be given by internationally renowned experts such as Ruby Lee (Princeton University), Krisztian Flautner (ARM), and Valentina Salapura (IBM), who will discuss architecture designed with security, the Internet of Things, and high-availability cloud solutions in mind. A total of 42 workshops and seminars will cover topics including:
• Key security results from the first European MILS architecture
• Innovative strategies for achieving low-energy computing, such as those proposed by the ICT-Energy consortium and energy-efficient microservers
• The energy savings required by exascale systems and the potential energy advantages of quantum computing
• Digital platforms to boost European industry
The conference will also serve to present the next stage of the HiPEAC project, now in its eleventh year, which will build on past successes to offer new communication and recruitment services to its partners. The role of HiPEAC as a driver for transforming research into value will also be highlighted, and spin-off companies from European projects will be presented, such as emmtrix Technologies (a software specialist that commercializes the results of the ALMA project), as well as the winners of the HiPEAC Tech Transfer Awards. The conference will have a stand to help European companies identify suitable personnel for their activities.
The conference will take place in Prague, from January 18th to 20th.
