Unlike traditional electrical installations, the HabiTEQ control system integrates various functional subsystems (lighting, heating, ventilation, blinds, security monitoring, fire and gas leak detection, etc.) into a single, centralized system that automatically manages energy consumption.
The system's seamless integration ensures complete interoperability between wired and wireless components, giving the GE Industrial Solutions HabiTEQ solution unlimited flexibility. This allows for cost reductions of 15% to 30% on new installations, depending on the level of wiring, and up to 70% on renovations of existing installations. It also enables energy savings of up to 40% compared to traditional installations.
The wireless solution, based on EnOcean bidirectional technology, offers superior performance in terms of cost-effective energy management and building and home control. Because it requires no wiring, it optimizes installation costs in areas that are frequently reconfigured or where wiring is complicated or simply impossible.
The possibilities offered by the system in commercial and residential infrastructures are unlimited thanks to its enormous flexibility and modularity: an individual component can be installed to control a simple application, and then the system can be progressively scaled to achieve the desired levels of efficient energy management and connectivity with external systems.
To complete the HABITEQ series, GE Industrial Solutions has incorporated the following components:
- REL04SA: Intelligent Compact Relay. This electrical circuit actuator offers four 16A outputs to control all types of ON/OFF contacts:
lights, blinds, heating systems, air conditioning, displays, etc. The module has five inputs for connecting standard pushbuttons to control the various outputs. The fifth input controls all outputs, offering a pre-programmed ALL ON and ALL OFF scene. Unlike other components in the HabiTEQ system, this one operates both independently, without the need for a HabiTEQ Controller, and connected to a HabiTEQ Controller as part of a complete HabiTEQ system.
- DIM04SA/DIM02SA: Intelligent Compact Dimmer. This dimming actuator offers either 4 or 2 outputs, depending on the model, from 10-500 VA each, for dimming any type of lighting: halogen lamps, fluorescent tubes, 230V dimmable LEDs, incandescent lamps, etc. Similar to the REL04SA module, this module has inputs for connecting standard pushbuttons, and an additional input with a pre-programmed ALL ON and ALL OFF scene. The module can operate independently, without a HabiTEQ Controller, or connected to a HabiTEQ Controller as part of a complete HabiTEQ system.
- QDI01: DALI communication interface (Systems that adapt the lighting level to the needs of the installation, providing high energy savings,
according to the international standard) Connects our Habiteq equipment with any DALI system.
