Redundancy modulesQuint Diode is designed for high current applications up to 40 A and a voltage of 24 or 48 V DC. Since these devices comply with DIN EN 60079-15, they can be used even in Category 3G explosion-proof zones. If the installation operator also designs a dual wiring system, a fully redundant solution can be achieved all the way to the consumer.

The Quint Oring modules with 2x10 A (1x20 A) and 2x20 A (1x40 A) are suitable for voltages between 18 and 30 V DC. These modules enhance operational safety by monitoring the output voltages of the power supplies, along the wiring of the power block and up to the load, as well as the decoupled segment up to the load current of the redundant power supply solution. They detect critical operating states and report them at an early stage. For example, the devices warn of wiring errors or faulty cables, which was not previously possible at this level.

The modules' new ACB (Auto Current Balancing) technology doubles the lifespan of redundant power supplies, as both power blocks are used equally. The load current is automatically distributed symmetrically.

Continuous monitoring of the load current offers a significant advantage: if additional loads are connected to a redundant power supply during an expansion, this can lead to a loss of redundancy. The system operator will immediately notice when redundancy is lacking, as the module alerts them to the overload.
