The Minshi standalone keychain incorporates LMD’s patented V-Sensor™, along with a battery and a small Wuqi computer chip that connects via Bluetooth to a dedicated smartphone app. The circular device measures 5 cm in diameter by 2.5 cm deep, fits comfortably in the palm of your hand, and can be attached to a keyring, worn around your neck, or carried in a handbag. Completely portable, comfortable, cuff-free, and requiring no calibration, the Minshi measures blood pressure when gently applied to both sides of the device by gently squeezing between your thumb and forefinger. Following the simple, game-like instructions displayed by the dedicated app and pressing the V-Sensor on the Minshi occludes the arteries at the tip of your index finger—exactly like the proven Riva-Rocci method used by a blood pressure cuff. The pressure at the fingertip that balances blood pressure within the artery is optically detected by the V-Sensor's pulse oximeter, and an absolute blood pressure reading is displayed on the user's smartphone approximately 45 seconds later.

The Minshi also measures body temperature without contact: the user simply brings the module slowly to their forehead, the smartphone app beeps, and displays the temperature reading.
