ti-metawatch hgwebThe Meta Watch utilizes the built-in Bluetooth technology of smartphones, tablets, and other Bluetooth 4.0-enabled devices. It is compatible with Android version 2.3 and higher, and iOS version 6.0 and higher. The watch can be programmed to send signals from connected devices, actuators, or sensors via a vibration alarm. It is also equipped with a 3-axis accelerometer. Programming is done via USB, and open-source code is available to facilitate its development for numerous applications. The open-source projects were developed using either Texas Instruments' CCS (Code Composer Studio) development tools or the IAR environment.

The Meta Watch platform is based on an energy-efficient MSP330 microcontroller and a CC2564 Bluetooth host controller, and features six fully programmable keys. Its 96 x 96 pixel scratch-resistant LCD screen is easy to read even in direct sunlight, and the backlight intensity automatically adjusts to the ambient light. The stainless steel case and genuine leather strap give the watch a premium look and feel. Furthermore, the watch is water-resistant up to 3 ATM.
