Galvanic isolation is provided between the input, output, and power supply. It also enables bidirectional transmission of HART data protocols to receive or send additional information to the field device. This allows, for example, continuous monitoring of the status of regulating valves. The modules are powered by 19.2 to 30 V DC via connection terminals or (collectively) via a bus connector for mounting rails. When powered via the bus connector, they can also be used in a Termination Carrier. This system wiring solution allows for the quick and error-free connection of up to 16 output signals to control systems.
The Mini Analog's narrow profile requires less space, thus reducing costs. Modules with screw or spring-loaded connection technology are also available.
