When used without forced ventilation, this unit is capable of delivering up to 100 watts of output. With just 10 CFM of ventilation, it can deliver up to 130 watts. This family comprises up to six models with unique outputs ranging from +12VDC to +48VDC, and a wide, universal input range of 80 to 264 VAC.
The ECS130's "green power" credentials include up to 90% efficiency and a no-load power consumption of less than 0.5 watts. These minimal heat losses and the power supply's specifications help engineers ensure their final equipment meets required international energy efficiency standards. This power supply can operate over an extended temperature range of -40 to 70°C, with no power limitation up to +50°C.
The ECS130 complies with the medical equipment safety standards ANSI/AMMI ES60601-1 and IEC60601-1 and the IT and industrial equipment standards UL60950-1 / IEC60950-1. It also meets the Class B conducted and Class A radiated radiation limits of the EN55011 / EN55022 emissions standards without the need for additional filtering components.
The option to have Class I or Class II enclosures gives the engineer the choice of grounding the inlet if required. A cover can also be added for Class I applications.
The ECS family of power supplies is suitable for a wide range of medical, industrial, and IT equipment. Potential applications include test and measurement equipment, broadcast equipment, communications, and data storage. Its medical compliance makes it ideal for portable medical devices, home healthcare equipment, and personal medication delivery systems.
The ECS130 series are available from the specialist local distributor VENCO Electrónica SA in Spain and Portugal, as well as from Farnell, element14, and have a 3-year warranty.
