The power supply is MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-461G certified and features IP67 protection against dust and liquid ingress. The model provides a nominal output of 27 VDC and 6 A, with a maximum power of 160 W, and is designed to maintain its performance within an operating temperature range of -46 to +60 °C.
MIL-STD-810H Certification
The DF150 has been tested in accordance with MIL-STD-810H to verify its performance under different environmental conditions.
The tests consider factors such as impacts, vibrations, altitude variations, and extreme temperatures—relevant characteristics for electronic equipment installed in vehicles, telecommunications infrastructure, industrial systems, and other applications exposed to harsh environmental conditions. In addition to these characteristics, the device also has an IP67 rating, which provides protection against dust and allows for temporary immersion in water under the conditions specified by this category.
Electromagnetic compatibility MIL-STD-461G
The power supply also has MIL-STD-461G electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) certification. This certification includes RE102, CE102, CS101, CS114, CS115, CS116, CS118, and RS103 testing.
These tests evaluate aspects related to conducted and radiated emissions, as well as the equipment's susceptibility to different electromagnetic disturbances. Meeting these requirements facilitates the integration of the source into systems where electromagnetic compatibility is particularly important.
27V output and up to 91% efficiency
The DF150 provides a nominal output voltage of 27 VDC with a current of up to 6 A and a power of 160 W. According to the manufacturer's specifications, it achieves an efficiency of up to 91% when operating at full load.
The power supply requires no minimum load to operate and has a leakage current of 275 µA with a 230 VAC input. These characteristics allow it to be used as a power supply for various electronic devices that require a stable DC output in installations subjected to demanding environmental conditions.
Cooling by conduction or convection
Advanced Energy offers two thermal management options for the DF150. One uses conduction cooling via a base plate, a suitable configuration for integrating the power supply into systems where heat is transferred directly to the chassis or another surface. The second option employs convection cooling using a heatsink mounted on the power supply itself.
Different configurations for the input cables and various housing finish options are also available.
First font in the Defiant Future family
The DF150 inaugurates Advanced Energy's Defiant Future family of AC-DC power supplies.
The combination of 160W power, 27VDC output, operating range between -46 and +60°C, IP67 protection and MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-461G certifications is geared towards electronic systems used in industrial, transportation, telecommunications, energy and defense applications that require operation under demanding environmental and electromagnetic conditions.
