The ESB001 series has been developed and produced by CAMTEC Power Supplies GmbH, specialists in robust capacitive loads and laboratory power supplies, who are now launching the new series in two versions: The ESB001.LED.230VAC is intended for traditional LED lighting in buildings, street lighting, and tunnel lighting. The ESB001.24.230VAC is suitable for protecting the contacts of load relays or for protecting multiplexed MUX channels from damaging inrush currents.
Due to its low heat output of only 1.1 W @ 230 Vac with 99.97% efficiency, the ESB001 can be mounted wall-to-wall with neighboring devices in the control cabinet. Therefore, the ESB001 units demonstrate their power in locations where control cabinet space is very limited, such as building retrofits or street lighting installations. Thanks to their compact size, they are also suitable for display solutions in shops, airport showcases, or city centers. In particular, the ESB001.24.230VAC model helps keep the sum of all input currents in the sub-distribution extremely low, thus saving costs by eliminating the need to sequentially switch on different zones of the network.
Furthermore, the CAMTEC ESB001 retains all the features and advantages of CAMTEC's ESB101 and ESB303 series, which have been used for over a decade where reliable protection of lighting and machinery applications is required.
The ESB001 complies with the demanding industry standards EN61010-1, EN61010-2-201, as well as the current IT standard EN62368-1. It is completely electromagnetically neutral and, like the CAMTEC ESB101 and ESB303 regulators, can be used at all frequencies, from 16 2/3 Hz railway networks to 400 Hz onboard networks.
In a network with incoming current regulators, the sum of all incoming currents in the sub-distribution network remains extremely low. This makes the network stable and fail-safe. Furthermore, by eliminating the need to connect different areas of the network sequentially and allowing the use of simpler components in the electrical system, up to ten percent of the total costs can be saved when planning electrical installations for lighting, tunnels, or industrial applications.
