The entire WMA series meets international safety standards for demanding medical applications and features 2 MOPP (IN/OUT) and 1 MOPP (IN/FG) insulation ratings. Based on a robust platform utilizing the latest power switching technologies, the units are designed to offer an excellent price/performance ratio for medical applications requiring a high-quality power solution. The WMA series is also suitable for demanding fixed industrial applications requiring high isolation, such as those specified in Category III surge protection. The WMA-35, WMA-75, WMA-100F, and WMA-150H models are designed for convection cooling, while the WMA-350H includes a fan to enhance cooling and performance in demanding applications.
Medical applications require robust and highly reliable power supplies capable of operating worldwide and meeting numerous safety regulations. Furthermore, new equipment demands power supplies with a height of less than 1U (44.45 mm - 1.75 inches). To accommodate this low profile adopted by manufacturers in the medical industry, the WMA series is only 30 mm high. Drawing on many years of experience, COSEL's power designers have developed an optimized platform that offers an excellent price/performance ratio without compromising quality and reliability. By combining a standardized platform with best practices in thermal and power management, the WMA series achieves a high efficiency level of up to 91% on high line, using a limited number of components for increased reliability and reduced cost. The WMA series has also been designed for industrial applications such as semiconductor manufacturing equipment, meeting the SEMI F47 standard for voltage drop immunity for semiconductor processing equipment and fixed applications that must meet category III overvoltage.
The WMA series consists of five models: WMA35F, WMA75F, WMA100F, WMA150H, and WMA350H, covering a power range from 35 to 350 W. The WMA35F is available in four output voltages: 5 V, 12 V, 24 V, and 48 V. The WMA75F, WMA100F, and WMA150H are available in three output voltages: 12 V, 24 V, and 48 V. The WMA350H is available in four output voltages: 12 V, 24 V, 36 V, and 48 V. In all models, the output voltage can be adjusted using the built-in potentiometer.
The WMA-F series can operate on a universal input range of 85 to 264 VAC and, designed for system integration, the WMA-H series can operate on a range of 85 to 132 VAC and 170 to 264 VAC, selectable by switch.
The WMA series includes inrush current limiting circuits and overcurrent and overvoltage protection. Thanks to their versatility and robustness, the power supplies can operate at temperatures ranging from -20 to +70 degrees Celsius. Depending on the type of final equipment mounting and cooling conditions, power reduction may be necessary.
Designed for medical and industrial applications, the WMA series features 2MOPP input-to-output isolation and 1MOPP rack ground (FG) input. The units are approved according to UL62368-1, C-UL (equivalent to CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 62368-1), EN62368-1, ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1, C-UL (equivalent to CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 60601-1), EN60601-1 3rd Edition, EN61558-2-16 (OVC III), and comply with IEC60601-1-2 4th Edition.
The WMA35-75-100F does not have integrated active PFC, although it fully complies with IEC61000-3-2 (Class A). Designed for systems with integrated front-end PFC, depending on the end application, the WMA150-350H may require external power factor correction circuitry.
The result of careful design, the WMA series' EMI emissions comply with CISPR11-B, CISPR32-B, EN55011-B, EN55032-B, FCC Part 15-B, and FCC Part 18-B standards, and its EMC immunity meets EN61000-4-2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 11 standards.
For enhanced durability and longevity, the WMA series is built on an aluminum chassis and enclosed in a hot-dip galvanized steel (SGCC) profile housing. The WMA35F measures 30 x 82 x 99 mm [1.18 x 3.23 x 3.90 in] (width x height x depth) and has a maximum weight of 200 g. The WMA75F measures 30 x 97 x 99 mm (width x height x depth) and weighs a maximum of 250 g. The WMA100F measures 30 x 97 x 129 mm (width x height x depth) and weighs a maximum of 300 g. The WMA150H measures 30 x 97 x 159 mm (width x height x depth) and weighs a maximum of 500 g. The WMA350H measures 115 x 30 x 215 mm (width x height x depth) and has a maximum weight of 800 g.
The WMA series has a five-year warranty and complies with European RoHS and Low Voltage Directives.
