Along with the VersaPower architecture of the power supplies, the new options enhance the versatility of test systems and simplify the power supply capacity tuning process for test engineers. The N6900 Series options allow engineers to meet their automated test equipment (ATE) testing needs without paying for more capacity than necessary.
New options include:
• A precision package (Option 301), which adds a second range of uninterrupted current measurements with full factory calibration.
• Measurement enhancements (Option 302), which add external data loggers and voltage and current digitizers with programmable sampling rates
. • Source and speed enhancements (Option 303), which add arbitrary waveforms at constant intervals and output list capability, as well as providing improvements in rise/fall programming time.
• Disconnect and polarity reversal relays (Options 760 and 761), which allow engineers to switch voltages between positive and negative values.
With the help of these new options, engineers can integrate and deploy their test systems more quickly while achieving test speeds up to 100 times faster than those possible with standard system power supplies. These faster performance speeds can help manufacturers reduce testing costs. The smaller size of the APS N6900 power supplies saves rack space, which can also lower testing costs.
With the help of the APS N6900 power supplies, engineers can accurately characterize the power profiles of devices under test (DUTs) using advanced measurement capabilities. For example, engineers will be able to:
• Perform dual voltage and current measurements with accuracy similar to digital multimeters
• Carry out dynamic measurements with high-resolution digitizers for current and voltage (with measurement option)
• Easily measure power, peak power, watt-hours, and amp-hours
The key design of the APS power supply range is based on Keysight's VersaPower architecture, which utilizes innovative technology to deliver the highest performance on the market and adds new capabilities previously unavailable in switching power supply designs. The APS range includes Keysight's N6900, N7900, and N6700 Series DC power supplies.
Keysight's N6900 Series DC APS power supplies include five voltage and current combinations in the 1 kW power range and seven voltage and current combinations in the 2 kW power range. The 1 kW models are 1U high, while the 2 kW models are 2U high.
