Measuring only 44mm (1.73”) in height and with a footprint of 224mm (8.82”) x 262mm (10.3”), the PLS600 takes up very little space in desktop applications and for 19” 1U rack mounting options, it supports 1 or 2 PLS600 units.

There are a total of 5 models in the PLS600 family, offering DC outputs of 30V, 50V, 100V, 200V, and 400V – all with a power rating of 600W. For example, the 30V model supports output currents up to 33A with a power rating of 600W. The units can be used in series or parallel, allowing for higher output voltages (600V) or higher power outputs (2400W).

These units offer good load and line regulation and can be programmed to an accuracy of 0.1%. They include 12-bit A/D and D/A converters, allowing the units to monitor voltages and currents with high degrees of precision.

A remote sensor control is included to allow the use of loads located far from the source. It also incorporates OVP (overvoltage protection), OCP (overcurrent protection), and OPP (overpower protection) that limit the output current and voltage to prevent damage to the source under test (UUT).

The PLS600 power supplies are LXI certified, meeting interoperability standards for LAN-based instruments. Drivers for LabVIEW and IVI are available for use with all standard software. These units also support Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments (SCPI), and user-developed SCPI-based software is also compatible. Built-in scripting allows for user-defined programming and output profiling to meet a wide range of unique requirements.
