All models are available with all options pre-installed, and the front panel design is more colorful.
With the new DP813(A) and DP822(A), RIGOL has introduced improvements to the DP800(A) series with two versions that can provide significantly higher current. The maximum current, previously 10 A, is now increased to 20 A in the DP813(A) and to 16 A in the DP822(A). The DP813(A) has one output channel and two different ranges. The low-range mode can supply up to 8 V / 20 A, while the high-range mode can reach up to 20 V / 10 A. The DP822(A) has two channels; The first channel can be adjusted up to 20 V / 5 A and the second channel up to 5 V / 16 A. Both versions offer a detection channel on the high current output in order to detect voltage drop in the test leads, which significantly influences the test configuration for higher currents.
All current and voltage values can be increased by 10% on each model (except the DP822(A)). For example, with the DP832(A) series, the values on channel 1 and channel 2 can be increased to 33 V and 3.3 A. The output current of the DP822(A) can be increased by 5% to 16.8 A. All devices can operate in constant current (CC) or constant voltage (CV) mode.
These devices provide very clean output thanks to their very low ripple and noise levels.
These multi-channel devices incorporate isolated channels. With the multi-channel versions, two channels can be connected in parallel or in series to increase the current or voltage. The devices also offer overvoltage/overcurrent protection (OVP)/overcurrent protection (OCP): the device disconnects the output as soon as the preset values are exceeded.
They also include other functions as standard, such as a timer for obtaining voltage or current profiles. RIGOL also offers free PC software for these devices, enabling configuration and recording of the corresponding curves to a *.csv file.
This series can be used in numerous areas and applications within R&D departments, as well as in automated testing setups for production or educational settings.
