The new Westcor MicroPACs, offering 12, 24, 36, and 48 VDC outputs via four factory-configurable isolated outputs, are suitable for a wide range of custom power requirements and are ideal for distributed power architectures in industrial and automation, MIL-COTS, telecommunications, and renewable energy applications.

System designers seeking the flexibility of splitting multiple voltage outputs instead of using two separate power supplies can configure MicroPACs with a combination of four high-performance VI Chip® BCM® high-voltage bus converters, which can be configured as single outputs, parallel outputs, or a series output with integrated current sharing. For applications requiring higher power levels, MicroPACs can be configured in arrays with current sharing between units.

Energy Star compliant MicroPACs offer advanced eco-mode tuning, whereby each BCM is powered only when needed, improving power efficiency across a wide range of loads. During standby mode, total power dissipation is below 8 W, an exceptional value for a power supply up to 1300 W.

MicroPACs operate at full load across a wide temperature range (-40 to +55 °C) and are robust enough for harsh environments. They offer a cost-effective alternative to MIL-class power supplies, meet MIL-STD 810 shock and vibration standards – up to 7 G per axis for one hour and 40 G functional shocks – and are therefore suitable for use in ground vehicles, aircraft, and marine transports.
