This advanced bearing system design bridges the cost-performance gap between traditional bearing and roller bearing fan technologies. Incorporating a magnetic structure that balances the rotor to minimize tilt, oscillation, and friction, the omniCOOL system allows the fan to operate at any angle. It also reduces the need for lubricant, further decreasing fan noise and friction. Furthermore, the bearing system extends the machine's lifespan through a specially hardened material that provides additional thermal resistance and protection against abrasion.
The CFM-V series, with frame sizes from 40 to 120 mm, offers airflows ranging from 5.4 to 10.8 CFM in the 40 mm series, and up to 138 CFM in the 120 mm series. Available with voltage ratings of 5, 12, 24, and 48 Vdc, all axial fans come standard with auto-restart protection and offer options for tachometer and rotation sensor signals, depending on the model. Static pressure values range from 0.04 to 0.41 in H2O with low current ratings from 26 to 958 mA.
All models in the CFM-V series also incorporate the UL/cUL 507 and TUV EN 60950-1 safety requirements while meeting the EN 61000-6-1:2007 limits for EMI/EMC.
With typical MTBF ratings of 70,000 hours at 40°C and multiple speed options ranging from 1700 to 8500 RPM, CUI's line of axial DC fans with the omniCOOL system provides the ideal blend of economy and performance for multiple cooling needs, medical devices, and industrial applications.
The CFM-V series is available immediately with prices starting at $3.40 per unit for orders of 100 units through distributors. Contact CUI for OEM pricing.
