Siplus HCS4200 heating control system with two new output modules
Each output is now even more powerful and it is possible to control voltages from 45 V, making this power control system even more flexible and suitable for use in applications that, for safety reasons, work with very low voltages.
The new POM4220 Highend output module operates at 230/277 V and 400/480 V, incorporates eight outputs, and each output can handle up to 20 Amps. Previously, only 16 Amps were possible.
The integrated current measurement at each output means that heating elements connected in parallel to an output can now be monitored.
In addition to operating at 230/277 V and 400/480 V, the new POM4220 Flexible power control module allows for heating solutions in voltage ranges of 45, 70, and 110 V. This makes it possible to implement applications that, for safety reasons, operate at very low voltages, or to connect short-wave infrared lamps with more precise temperature control.
The TIA Portal engineering system simplifies the integration of heating control systems or resistive load power control into any automation system. Programming tasks are further simplified through a library within TIA Portal and the use of application examples. The Proneta tool enables the integration and commissioning of Siemens heating control systems into Profinet networks, performing wiring and load tests during the installation phase, for example, even before the final program or engineering work completed with TIA Portal is finished.
Siemens heating control systems are used worldwide in a wide variety of sectors and applications: for drying paints and surface finishes, for example, or for molding plastics and lightweight materials, welding plastics and in ovens where the heating elements are infrared lamps.
