Offering a high thermal conductivity of 1.3 W/mK, it is available in six thicknesses from 0.508 mm to 3.175 mm. The standard sheet size is 8 inches by 16 inches. Custom sizes and shapes are also available upon request.
Thanks to its transparent PEN film, Gap Pad 1450 is also puncture and tear resistant, helping to protect components and maintain electrical insulation. Its film-free side is moldable and elastic, providing excellent interface characteristics and impregnation capabilities, even on highly rough or irregularly shaped surfaces. Furthermore, the material exhibits greater natural adhesion than similar very soft materials, reducing the need for adhesive and maximizing thermal performance in assemblies.
Gap Pad 1450 is ideal for applications such as solid-state lighting and other LED assemblies, computers and telecommunications equipment, and generally between heat-generating semiconductors, particularly where it is necessary to minimize the stress transmitted on the legs of fragile components.
