The new PIC32CZ CA family of devices consists of the PIC32CZ CA90 with an integrated HSM or the PIC32CZ CA80 without an integrated HSM. The HSM in the PIC32CZ CA90 is a monolithic solution that provides advanced security for industrial and consumer applications. The HSM functions as a secure subsystem that incorporates a separate microcontroller to run the firmware and security functions, such as secure hardware boot, key storage, cryptographic acceleration, and true random number generation, among others.
For products requiring enhanced security, the PIC32CZ CA90 offers factory provisioning, providing customers with pre-provisioned, ready-to-use devices. Microchip's Trust Platform Development Suite is a proprietary secure provisioning tool that enables a secure, customized supply chain or small-batch production.

The PIC32CZ CA microcontrollers can be configured with connectivity options such as USART/UART, I2C, SPI, CAN FD, High-Speed USB, and Gigabit Ethernet. The Ethernet option includes AVB (Audio Video Bridging) and PTP (Precision Time Protocol) based on the IEEE 1588 standard.
These devices can incorporate 2, 4 or 8 MB of Flash, 1 MB of SRAM and memory with ECC (Error Correction Code) to mitigate data corruption.
The PIC32CZ CA devices are the latest 32-bit microcontrollers to join the extensive catalog of the PIC32 and SAM families, providing high performance and functional capabilities and many features to customize and create innovative products.
Development Tools
The devices are supported by the PIC32CZ CA90 Curiosity Ultra development board, the PIC32CZ CA80 Curiosity Ultra development board and MPLAB® Harmony v3 for testing, programming and debugging in the design phase.

The PIC32CZ CA80 is available at a price of $14.80 per unit for orders of 10,000 units and the PIC32CZ CA90 is priced at $15.54 per unit for orders of 10,000 units in a BGA 208 package.
