They operate at frequencies up to 120 MHz and integrate 256 KB of flash code memory and 18 KB of RAM. The TMPM4H4FYUG, TMPM4H2FYDUG, and TMPM4H1FYUG microcontrollers are designed for small-scale system control applications in consumer devices, such as air conditioners and washing machines, and in industrial equipment, including multifunction printers and industrial automation systems.

As consumer devices and industrial equipment become increasingly sophisticated and diversified, the microcontrollers used in system control must offer improved real-time capabilities and stability, simplify design, provide the versatility needed for long-term operation, and be flexible enough to allow for the development of derivative products. The new microcontrollers from the M4H group are conceived as entry-level products that provide essential functions. With a maximum operating frequency of 120 MHz, they meet the computing performance and responsiveness requirements of consumer products and industrial equipment. They can also manage core system control applications, such as control logic, interface processing, and timing control. The microcontrollers are available in 0.5 mm pitch LQFP64 (TMPM4H4FYUG), 0.5 mm pitch LQFP48 (TMPM4H2FYDUG), and 0.8 mm pitch LQFP44 (TMPM4H1FYUG) packages.

The M4H series products support a supply voltage range of 2.7 V to 5.5 V and, by integrating a high-speed 10 MHz oscillator with ±1% accuracy, help reduce the number of external components and improve design flexibility. This makes them ideal for use in consumer devices and industrial equipment with 5V power supplies. The microcontrollers also integrate essential peripheral functions for system control, including a 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), timers, a universal asynchronous receiver/transmitter (UART), a serial peripheral interface (SPI), an inter-circuit interface (I²C), and direct memory access (DMA). An additional feature is an advanced programmable motor driver (A-PMD) that supports the control of brushless DC motors, ensuring flexible use according to application requirements and system configurations.

Toshiba facilitates component evaluation by providing engineering samples and development environments. The company also facilitates a seamless process from initial evaluation to application development by providing starter kits, sample software, drivers compliant with the Common Microcontroller Software Interface Standard (CMSIS), and user environments for leading integrated development environments (IDEs).
