The increasing complexity of AI and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads has highlighted the limitations of traditional memory architectures, known as the "memory wall": a bottleneck where memory bandwidth fails to keep pace with processing speed, leading to inefficiencies. The 12800 MT/s DDR5 MRDIMM overcomes this challenge with its Multiplexed Registered Clock Driver (MRCD) and Multiplexed Data Buffer (MDB) architecture. By enabling simultaneous access to two memory ranges, this design increases bandwidth by 60% compared to traditional 8000 MT/s DDR5 MRDIMM modules, improving data transfer speeds and computational efficiency. By reducing the load on the memory controller and lowering latency, this module optimizes AI model training, large language models (LLM), and robotic process automation (RPA) applications.
Designed for seamless integration, the 12800 MT/s DDR5 MRDIMM is compatible with standard DDR5 RDIMM slots, simplifying system upgrades. Its compact and robust design incorporates MDB, MRCD, eFuse, and TVS technologies to ensure stable data transmission and surge protection.
The 12800 MT/s DDR5 MRDIMM will be available during the fourth quarter of 2026, with capacities ranging from 32GB to 128GB to suit a wide variety of applications.
