With an exceptional current-carrying capacity of up to 32 A, the hot-swappable AMP Max connectors can help industrial and building technology systems manage high currents at the board level, enabling more efficient and reliable operation. The connectors offer high-quality performance and long-term durability, even in harsh environmental conditions.

The high-performance AMP Max connectors support a nominal voltage of 600 V AC/DC and feature a compact 5.7 mm pitch, enabling high power transmission even in space-constrained applications. This combination of high electrical performance and small size improves space utilization and simplifies integration into a wide range of industrial installations.

Designed with a reinforced construction, AMP Max connectors also offer optional versions with a sealed soft housing for added protection, ensuring reliable operation in harsh environments.

Flexibility in assembly and application

AMP Max connectors offer flexible coating options to meet diverse applications and cost requirements. The tinned version supports up to 30 mating cycles and is a cost-effective solution for standard operating environments. The PdNi + Au flash* coated variants support a minimum of 100 mating cycles and offer exceptional corrosion resistance for more demanding applications. Supported wire sizes, from AWG 10 to AWG 20, help ensure broad compatibility across a wide range of designs.

Developed specifically for automated pick-and-place production, the latest connectors enable efficient, high-volume manufacturing. Flexible configuration options—including sealed and unsealed pin connectors for through-hole reflow (THR) processes—simplify integration and improve production capacity. Surface mount technology (SMT) variants are planned for release by the end of 2027, depending on demand.

Vertical and horizontal alignment with secondary locking mechanism

To ensure design flexibility and safer, more reliable assembly, AMP Max connectors offer both vertical and horizontal alignment options*. Integrated Terminal Position Assurance (TPA) functionality and a secondary locking mechanism provide high pull-out force, enhancing connection security. Flexible mounting systems and multiple coding options enable quick and easy mating while effectively preventing incorrect mating.

An integrated screw-locking option further enhances vibration resistance and helps ensure high seal integrity. The screw-locking design achieves an IP67 water resistance rating, making it well-suited for outdoor applications in harsh conditions. For less demanding environments, TE also offers splash-proof and dustproof variants with medium protection ratings (IP65, IP56). These latch- or clip-based designs allow for quicker and easier installation, while unsealed versions are available for standard operating conditions.

* The marked configurations are not available at launch. These options are planned and may be prioritized based on market demand. Availability is subject to internal review and development timelines. For more information or to express interest, please contact your sales representative.
