Featuring conductive polymer cathodes that can withstand high ripple currents, the F38 series capacitors also exhibit low ESR, low ESL, and low flat impedance across a wide frequency range, making them ideal for use in a broad range of consumer applications, such as smartphones, tablet PCs, portable gaming devices, and wireless modules.
Rated for use in temperatures ranging from -55°C to +105°C, AVX's new F38 Series tantalum polymer capacitors are RoHS compliant, halogen-free, and available in two package sizes: M (1.6 mm x 0.85 mm x 0.8 mm) and S (2.0 mm x 1.25 mm x 0.8 mm). Currently, the F38 Series M-type capacitors are available in 10V and 2.2µF or 10V and 4.7µF; however, the following ratings are under development and scheduled for introduction later this year: 6.3V and 22µF, 6.3V and 47µF, and 10V and 10µF.
The F38 series S-type capacitors are currently available for 6.3V and 47mF. Two additional S-types, at 4V and 100uF, and 10V and 22mF, are also under development and scheduled for introduction later this year.
