MYRRA flyback transformers (SMPS) offer a viable alternative to conventional power supplies for most applications below 5W.
This new range is 100% PCB compatible with the footprint of 50/60Hz encapsulated transformers (MYRRA 44000 Series), simplifying design and achieving a significant size reduction compared to similar products currently on the market.
The French manufacturer's contribution lies in the fact that a single package integrates the fuse, diode bridge, filter capacitor, and linear regulator.
They accept a universal input voltage between 85 Vac and 265 Vac or from 85 Vdc to 370 Vdc with standard outputs of 3.3 V, 5 V, 9 V, 12 V, 15 V, 18 V, 24 V, etc. for power levels from 2.5 to 5 W.
Among their main features, it is worth noting that the standby power consumption complies with Energy Star standards and European specifications, with power consumption in the absence of a load that can drop to values below 150 mW.
The regulated versions offer an output accuracy of +/-2%, while the unregulated versions have an accuracy of +/-5%.
The launch of this new range in Spain coincided with MATELEC 2010 at the stand of the Spanish subsidiary, MYRRA Hispania, which was present again at this year's event.
