TE resistor kits utilize thin or thick film technology and offer various ohmic values, providing a cost-effective solution for a wide variety of applications.
Six of the kits are based on TE's RL73 series, featuring surface-mount (SMD), thick-film, low-resistance current-sensing resistors that offer reduced power consumption in low-voltage power supply and battery management applications. These devices incorporate a special enamelled metal resistive element and a nickel layer beneath the solder to extend terminal life.
Eight additional kits are based on the RN73 series of high-precision, high-stability resistors, offering varying power dissipation values related to chip size, ranging from 0402 to 2512. The temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) of these devices drops to 5 ppm/°C, while resistance tolerances are extremely low at 0.01%. These thin-film SMD resistors are manufactured with three sputtering layers for optimal performance.
Also featuring high-precision and stable resistors are the other nine kits based on TE's CPF series. This range of thin-film resistors offers a TCR of up to 15 ppm/°C and resistance tolerances of 0.01%.
All kits based on the high-precision RN73 and CPF devices comply with the Electronic Industries Association (EIA) IEC 63 E96 and E24 standards, which are the benchmark values for high-precision, low-tolerance requirements. Both resistor series have precise and uniform physical dimensions to facilitate placement in telemetry, sensing circuits, communications, industrial controls, and medical applications, among others.
For industrial and general purpose use, there is a kit based on the CRG series of high power thick film resistors, offering a wide range of resistances from 1 to 10M Ohms and tolerances between 1% and 5%.
The kit range is completed with one based on the 3521 series, which combines low cost and high power. These SMD devices are suitable for automated placement in high-volume applications, including high-frequency operations, thanks to their small size.
