SMP manufactures and develops EMC filtering systems and inductive suppression components based on All Mode (AM) technology, a registered trademark of SMP. AM technology allows for the simultaneous attenuation of common-mode and differential-mode interference. As a result, approximately 50 percent fewer components are required. SMP's own High Frequency Composite Materials (HFCM) provide frequency stability up to 5 gigahertz, very low losses, and a saturation induction of up to 2 Tesla. SMP offers magnetostriction-free components for noise-sensitive applications.

AM inductors and filters are maintenance-free, lightweight, and compact. They have minimal leakage field and can be used for currents up to 3000 amps. Components are manufactured in sizes from 19 mm to 300 mm and weights from 0.05 kg to 130 kg. For harsh environmental conditions, these components can be manufactured in temperature class H (180°C) according to DIN EN 60085 in combination with fire protection class HL3 according to DIN EN 45545. Protection classes range from IP00 to IP67 according to DIN EN 60529, allowing the inductors and filters to be used in PD4-compliant environments, both inside and outside a power converter or electrical system. Suitable cooling methods include air cooling, water cooling, and free convection. All SMP products comply with RoHS and REACH regulations, are CE, EAC, and UKCA certified, and are UL listed.

The components are used in all power electronics applications in the fields of drive technology, automotive, aerospace, rail technology, medical technology, renewable energy, power conversion, industry, and robotics.
