Key improvements in the new LOGO! 8 include a larger display, comprehensive Ethernet communication options, an integrated web server, and additional outputs on both the digital and analog modules. The new 6-line display, with 16 characters per line, supports twice the number of characters per text message, enabling more detailed text messages.
The integrated Ethernet interface and web server are exceptional features in this class of devices. The Ethernet interface expands communication capabilities while simplifying installation by eliminating the need for additional programming cables or the LOGO! TDE text display cables.
The web server allows remote monitoring and control of the logic module via the internet. Creating web pages requires no special programming knowledge: text display options can be selected with a single click. The web server is easy to configure with the latest version of Soft Comfort V8 software, requiring no HTML programming, and users can freely choose their preferred display options.
In addition, two new modules are available. The CSM module allows for the expansion of the Ethernet interface for configuring small local Ethernet networks, and the CMR2020 module over a mobile network sends text alerts about system status and provides GPS tracking for asset monitoring.
The new, intuitive Soft Comfort V8 software facilitates easy program creation, project simulation, and documentation for LOGO! users. It adds new features such as simple network operation, automatic configuration of communication with a display in network mode, and the ability to open up to three programs simultaneously. Users can also transfer signals from one program to another by dragging and dropping them. Soft Comfort V8 also simplifies program migration from previous versions.
The LOGO! 8 range is available globally from RS Online and comprises eight basic units, seven digital modules, and three analog modules. The units share the same 72 mm width as the LOGO! 6 family, enabling efficient installation and backward-compatible external connections for easy upgrades.
