The MW500 is robust and meets the IP66 protection standard. It is capable of withstanding high overloads of 150% for 60 seconds every 10 minutes, and operates at temperatures up to 40 °C (wall mounted) and 50 °C (motor mounted).
Three LEDs on the top of the converter indicate the motor's status (ready, alarm, and error). This allows the user to quickly identify the equipment's operation. An optional switch can also be installed to facilitate safer maintenance work.
The converter is designed to operate with asynchronous motors from 0.75 kW to 7.5 kW and is available in versions A (1.1 kW to 1.5 kW), B (2.2 kW to 4 kW), and C (5.5 kW to 7.5 kW) for mains voltages of 380 V to 400 V, and in version A (0.75 kW to 1.1 kW) for voltages of 200 V to 240 V. It is ideal for applications such as centrifugal pumps and compressors in the manufacturing industry, fans, mixers and packaging machines, washing machines and dryers, conveyor belts, as well as for general mechanical engineering.
The drive integrates an analog potentiometer to regulate the speed of an asynchronous motor without the need for a control panel. However, users can also operate the device simply and intuitively from an integrated human-machine interface (HMI), which is offered as an option for remote control. The standard version of the MW500 features an integrated PID process controller and PLC with numerous programming functions. It also incorporates an EMC filter compliant with EN 61800-3. C2 and C3 category variants are available as options.
