The J1 drive enables reliable motor control across a wide range of power supplies, from 0.4 to 2.2 kW with a 200 V single-phase supply and from 0.4 to 3.7 kW with a 400 V three-phase supply. Its robust design includes features such as V/F control, Dynamic Torque Vector control, integrated PID control, and overload protection. It also features automatic deceleration, a sleep mode for pump and fan applications, and slip compensation to ensure stable torque even at low speeds.
Installation is simplified thanks to its compact IP20-rated enclosure, which allows for parallel mounting to reduce cabinet space requirements. Connectivity is handled by the Modbus RS-485 protocol, and the J1 drive includes both digital and analog I/O options to meet a wide range of basic machine control needs.
To cater to the demands of both new and existing customers, the J1 can be programmed using OMRON's Sysmac Studio, as well as the new, free J1 Editor configuration tool. This software allows for parameter editing and offers a straightforward configuration process.
The J1 is CE, UKCA, UL/cUL, EAC, and RoHS certified, and is suitable for a variety of indoor industrial installations.
