The RS Pro series, designed for use with single-phase and three-phase AC induction motors of varying power ratings, includes 17 AC frequency converters, mostly IP65 rated (washdown), and two IP50 rated models in the RSMK series. These devices are ideal when a robust and elegant design is required and can be used in a variety of applications such as conveyor belts, HVAC systems, and pumps.
Available in two colors—a rugged gray and an FDA-approved white version for food processing—these devices offer simple operation, are easy to program, or require no programming at all. The high-quality, reliable RSDA series variable frequency drives, for example, offer power ratings from 0.75 to 2.25 kW and incorporate Common Sense Programming (CSP) to organize parameters into intuitive, easy-to-understand groups.
The devices in this range also include features such as Modbus communication protocol compatibility, four-digit programmable displays, status LEDs, and multifunction keypads. Furthermore, their price is very competitive compared to digital drives with a full range of features that are difficult to program or have less robust plastic housings.
There are also a number of very reliable switches used with some RS Pro frequency converters. For example, the RSACDC power switch, designed for use with the RSAC-24D frequency converter; the switching kit can be installed on the front cover of a converter for positive AC line disconnection.
