From the outset of the development of this display series, special attention was paid to the specific requirements of medical technology components. Development and production are carried out under strict quality control in accordance with ISO 9001:2015.
Thanks to its compact 5” (136 cm x 96 cm) screen diagonal, the uniTFT050 is ideal for use in medical equipment. It offers an 800 x 480 pixel vector graphics display. The extremely fast 50 fps image stacking ensures streak-free viewing, even with moving objects and animations. The exceptional brightness of 900 cd/m² guarantees a high-contrast display in all lighting conditions, including direct sunlight.
In the EA uniTFT50-A version, the panel is designed solely as a display. The EA uniTFT50-ATC is further equipped with a capacitive multi-touch surface. Like a smartphone, this screen reacts to various finger gestures, even behind a four-millimeter-thick glass panel or while wearing thin gloves.

Practical Drag-and-Drop Screen Design:
Thanks to the integrated command set and the "uniSKETCH for Windows" graphic editor, even less technically inclined developers can create visually appealing screen pages and ergonomically designed user guides. Developers have access to standardized style sheets, which can be individually customized, as well as a large library of visually appealing objects, including rotary and slide controls. The properties of all screen elements, such as shape, color, position, and saved actions, can be edited at any time. Commands for this are stored as macros on the integrated microSD card but can also be accessed at runtime via the serial interface.
Images in all common formats (jpg, png, svg, etc.) can be easily integrated into the design. Audio files can also be played as needed, for example, to indicate an alarm or an audio error. With variable transparency (alpha blending), a soft appearance, or the side intrusion of messages or touch keys, the user's attention can be specifically controlled.
International use has also been taken into account: thanks to freely scalable vector visualization and Unicode support, even Chinese characters are not a problem. The developer can manage the various translations of the displayed texts in a kind of database and import them for translation. The complete command set is integrated into the modules. Using the built-in timebase with battery backup, events can not only be documented with a timestamp on the integrated microSD card, but processes can also be controlled autonomously.
A wide range of interfaces
is available. The display modules operate on 3.3 V. All panels have a USB interface for programming (flashing) or for subsequent operation. In addition, the modules offer six serial interfaces: two RS232 connections, one SPI connection, and one I²C connection. The serial interfaces are used for communication with a higher-level controller (host) but can also be used with sensors or actuators. Four analog inputs with automatic feedback capability and a PWM output for control tasks are also integrated. Sixteen I/O interfaces, expandable to 128, complete the range. Camera images can be displayed directly on the screen via the analog video input and stored as printed images on the integrated microSD card for documentation purposes.
Three sizes, three variants.
In addition to the 5" diagonal uniTFT050-A and uniTFT050-ATC models, ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY currently manufactures the smart modules in two more sizes and three variants: the EA uniTFT070 model measures 7" and features 1,024 x 600 pixels; The largest model, the EA uniTFT101, measures 10.1 inches and features a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. These displays are available as both pure touchscreens and multi-touch versions. Additionally, the "-ATP" variant is equipped with a resistive touchscreen, meaning it is pressure-sensitive. This input technology is best suited for rugged use, especially when wearing gloves or using a stylus to interact with the touchpad.
