Its special and compact design, in addition to its low power consumption, make the MEDS-BS200 a perfect solution for visualization and computing applications in medical settings.

The rugged MEDW-BS200 from MEDWEL is equipped with the MEDWEL WUX-3455, an integrated 4" panel based on the Intel® Atom® E3900 series processor that integrates the low-power Intel® Gen9 graphics engine with up to 18 execution units, improving 3D graphics performance and supporting faster 4K encoding and decoding operations.

The WUX-3455 motherboard is expected to be equipped with the Atom® E3900 series processor, which is designed for medical applications and is up to seven times faster than the previous generation.

The compact embedded system MEDS-BS200 also features up to 8GB of DDR3L SO-DIMM memory supporting 1866/1600 MT/s; six USB ports; one DisplayPort and one HDMI port with resolutions up to 4096 x 2160; a COM port for RS-232 on the rear I/O; and multiple storage options with one SATA III port, one MicroSD 3.0 slot, and support for onboard eMMC 5.0 storage up to 64GB. Furthermore, the compact chassis platform, measuring 113 (W) x 41 (H) x 135 (D) mm, integrates an M.2 interface providing wireless connectivity, such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, making it an ideal medical gateway solution.

The MEDWEL MEDS-BS200 offers better and faster performance than its predecessors, but operates at a thermal design power (TDP) of 6W/10W for fanless applications and also supports a wide power input voltage of 12V to 19V for demanding applications.

The MEDWEL MEDS-BS200 further benefits from the cap/heat sink mechanism, which facilitates efficient heat dissipation. The robust and compact MEDS-BS200 supports a wide operating temperature range from 0°C to 60°C for operation in harsh environments, while its fanless design ensures reliability, quiet operation, and low maintenance and operating costs.
