Arrow has developed the ARIS board together with the Italian engineering firm Reloc.
 
The Renesas Synergy platform^TM  It helps accelerate IoT design by simplifying and speeding up the development process with a fully qualified and optimized hardware and software combination that fosters innovation and product differentiation. This is achieved through the combination of Arrow's ARIS board and elements of the Renesas Synergy software platform^TM  It allows programmers to reduce time to market as well as the total cost of ownership of a product over its useful life.
 
Based on a Renesas Synergy S7 MCU with a 240MHz ARM Cortex-M4 core, the ARIS board boasts a wealth of features that equip it for IoT operations. A 3-axis accelerometer and a 3-axis gyroscope provide position and motion detection information; humidity and temperature sensors offer environmental feedback. Communication with other devices and the cloud is enabled via a 10/100 Ethernet port, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 4.1/4.2), and Wi-Fi b/g/n support. NFC tag functionality is also included, along with an encrypted bootloader and support for over-the-air firmware updates.
 
The Renesas Synergy platform^TM Software includes an operating system, various qualified code stacks, libraries, and consistent APIs that simplify and accelerate the development process.
