Seeed Studio's BeagleBone Green Wireless offers the same excellent performance as the BEAGLEBONE Green, both based on the Texas Instruments AM335x 1 GHz ARM® Cortex®-A8 processor. The board provides 512 MB of DDR3 RAM, 4 GB of eMMC flash storage, a microSD card slot, and two 32-bit PRU microcontrollers, along with a NEON 3D floating-point graphics accelerator to enhance the user's multimedia experience. The onboard 2.4 GHz TI WiLink module supports multiple inputs and multiple outputs (MIMO) for faster data transmission. The board also includes 65 possible digital input/output pins across its two 46-pin headers.
As a complement to the BEAGLEBONE Green Wireless, the Grove Starter Kit for BEAGLEBONE Green contains 10 Grove modules and three step-by-step guides to help developers quickly create projects. The BEAGLEBONE Green Wireless is also compatible with the same expansion boards (called Capes) as the BEAGLEBONE Black and BEAGLEBONE Green.
The BEAGLEBONE Green Wireless ships with BeagleBoard's Linus and Cloud9 integrated development environment (IDE) on the eMMC, and is also compatible with Debian, Ubuntu, and many other Linux distributions; Android; and other open source operating systems.
