The Intel Compute Card platform has been created to transform the integration and use of computing and connectivity in future devices.
The Intel Compute Card platform has all the elements of a complete computer, including an Intel SoC, memory, storage, and wireless connectivity, plus flexible I/O options so hardware manufacturers can optimize their products for their specific solutions, from interactive refrigerators and smart kiosks to security cameras and IoT gateways. Device manufacturers simply need to incorporate a standard Intel Compute Card slot into their devices and then use the Intel Compute Card to meet their performance and price requirements.
Intel is collaborating with a wide range of partners, including Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Sharp, to achieve this goal. Intel is also working with various regional partners who want to offer unique solutions to their respective markets. These initial partners include Seneca Data, InFocus, DTx, TabletKiosk, and Pasuntech.
The Intel Compute Card platform will be available in mid-2017 and will come equipped with different processor options, including the latest 7th generation Intel® Core™ processors.
