Furthermore, with its native Bluetooth and sensor capabilities, the Genuino 101 is well-suited for prototyping IoT, wearable, and mobile applications.
The Intel Genuino 101, available from Mouser Electronics, features a 32-bit Intel® Quark™ microcontroller; 384 KB of flash memory; and 80 KB of SRAM, with 24 KB available for sketches—programs written using the Arduino integrated development environment (IDE). The toolchain compiles sketches using the Intel Quark core and 32-bit ARC architecture to handle even the most demanding tasks. The board also includes an integrated DSP sensor hub, a low-power Bluetooth radio, and a combined six-axis sensor with an accelerometer and gyroscope for connected motion-sensing projects.
The Genuino 101 comes with 20 general-purpose input/output (GPIO) pins: 14 digital I/O pins (four of which can be PWM outputs) and six analog inputs. The board includes a USB connector for serial communication and sketch uploads, a power connector, dedicated I2C pins, and an ICSP header with SPI signals. The board and I/O operating voltage is 3.3V, with 5V overvoltage protection for all pins. The Genuino 101 fits the Genuino Uno form factor, allowing for experimentation with Genuino and other brands' boards.
