The KSwitch M20 is a solution for all types of high-performance Ethernet switching, whether for military, industrial, or avionics applications. IEEE 1588v2 features enable precise time synchronization and packet timestamping for time-critical applications. The KSwitch M20 module is also compatible with Power-over-Ethernet smart devices with embedded firmware.
The Ethernet switching module is designed for future-proof applications requiring excellent bandwidth and secure communications. The ten 10 Gbps SerDes interfaces enable flexible deployment of different physical interfaces and speeds, significantly contributing to investment security. The standard port configuration allows for:
- 6x QSGMII (24x 10/100/1000BASE-T) and
- 4x 10G-USXGMII (4x 1/2.5/5G/10GBASE-T)
with external PHYs.
Up to 28 1 Gb/s ports or 10 10GBASE-T ports can be supported upon project request. The rugged design with components for the extended temperature range provides the foundation for robust Ethernet switching devices.
A 12V power supply offers a wide range of power options. Integrated test functions enable efficient switch maintenance. The KSwitch M20 module can be monitored via SNMP over serial or Ethernet lines. Web-based management and a comprehensive command-line interface enable Layer 2/3 management, including full IPv6 support. Features such as IP forwarding and multicast, routing and switching, QoS, VLANs, and more allow for complex network routing.
