The K3881-C, with 10GbE connectivity and 5G compatibility, is especially suitable for high-volume data infrastructures, while the K3882-C is a cost-effective solution for standard server applications.

The K3882-C offers high reliability, flexible expansion options, and advanced security features. It features dual 1GbE LAN, two PCIe slots, and is based on the Intel® C262 chipset with support for Intel® Xeon® E-2400 and 6300 processors. Additionally, it has two M.2 Key-M slots (2280/22110), one M.2 Key-E slot (2230) for WiFi/Bluetooth, a management LAN port, and a COM port and DisplayPort.

The K3881-C is designed for high-performance industrial server applications. It features an integrated BMC for remote server management, two high-speed 10GbE Ethernet connections, three PCIe slots, and is based on the Intel® C266 chipset. It also includes two 1GbE interfaces, two 10GbE ports, two M.2 Key-M slots (2280/22110), one M.2 Key-E slot (2230) for Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, a management LAN port, and a COM and DisplayPort. An M.2 Key-B slot (3052) supports advanced 5G M.2 modules.

Both motherboards support OpenBMC and Redfish, providing a powerful remote management solution for servers. This enables reliable remote maintenance for mid-sized businesses, data centers, and mission-critical systems with the highest availability and security requirements. Kontron offers server management software that is continuously developed and enhanced with new features. Designed and manufactured in Germany, Kontron's industrial server motherboards are specifically engineered for use in critical infrastructures where cybersecurity and a reliable supply chain are paramount. The hardware, BIOS, firmware, and server management, as well as the entire motherboard production process, are handled entirely by Kontron and are therefore subject to centralized control and accountability.

Samples of the new K3881-C and K3882-C will be available from June 2025.
