Priced below 25 Euros, Target boards lower the price threshold for compromise, allowing more system developers to enjoy the benefits of Renesas's extensive 32-bit RX MCU family.

RX Target Boards provide an affordable entry point for embedded designers to evaluate, prototype, and develop their products. Each board kit includes an on-chip debugging tool that enables application design without requiring additional tooling investments. Through-hole pin headers provide access to all MCU signal pins, making it easy for customers to interface with standard breadboards for rapid prototyping.

The RX Target Boards offer everything designers need to begin developing boards and demos, including a board circuit diagram and bill of materials, demo source code, a user manual, and application notes. Additional board variations will be available soon, providing comprehensive coverage of the entire RX family, from the low-power RX100 series to the high-performance RX700 series.

Key Features of the RX65N MCUs:
The RX65N MCU family combines an enhanced RX CPU core architecture and 120 MHz operation to achieve a processing performance of 4.34 CoreMark/MHz. The MCUs include integrated Trusted Secure IP, enhanced reliable flash functionality, and a human-machine interface (HMI) for industrial and network control systems operating at the IIoT edge. The RX65N MCUs also include an integrated TFT controller and an integrated 2D graphics accelerator with advanced features ideal for TFT displays designed for IIoT edge devices or system control applications. Furthermore, the RX65N MCUs include integrated communication processing peripherals such as Ethernet, USB, CAN, SD host/slave interface, and Quad SPI.

Key Features of the RX130 MCUs:
The RX130 MCU group delivers 32 MHz operation with flash memory sizes up to 512 KB and package sizes up to 100 pins, providing enhanced performance and compatibility with the RX231/RX230 touch MCU group. The ultra-low-power, low-cost RX130 group adds increased responsiveness and functionality for touch applications requiring 3V or 5V system control and low power consumption. Featuring a new capacitive touch IP with improved sensitivity and robustness, and a comprehensive device evaluation environment, the new 32-bit RX130 MCUs are ideal for devices designed with challenging and non-traditional touch materials, or that are required to operate in dirty or humid environments, such as kitchens, bathrooms, or factories.

Key Features of the RX231 MCUs:
The RX231 MCU group operates at 54 MHz and combines a 32-bit RXv2 CPU core with an enhanced DSP/FPU and low power consumption for extreme energy efficiency. High-performance digital filtering, floating-point operations, and other processes can be performed even in environments with limited power supply capacity. The RX231 group includes communication security and encryption features and is equipped with capacitive touch sensor capabilities that combine high sensitivity with high noise tolerance, as well as SD, USB, and CAN communication interfaces.
