High-end computer graphics combined with extremely low power consumption: As a single-board computer, the armStone A9r2 can be used without a motherboard and is therefore particularly well-suited for rapid time to market. It utilizes a Freescale i.MX 6Solo/DualLite/QuadPlus ARM Cortex-A9 processor with 3D, 2D, OpenGL/ES, and OpenVG support. A key feature is the long-term availability of the CPU for at least 15 years (Freescale's product longevity program). The armStone A9r2 is equipped with up to 4 GB of DDR3 SDRAM, up to 1 GB of SLC Flash memory, and an additional 32 GB eMMC drive. Interfaces include WLAN, Bluetooth, and camera interfaces, as well as Gigabit Ethernet, four USB 2.0 Host ports, one USB 2.0 Device port, two CAN ports, I²C, two SPI ports, audio, SATA, PCIe, and five serial interfaces. For display control, both LVDS and 2-channel DVI are available simultaneously, also supporting different content. A resistive or capacitive touch panel can also be connected via I²C. With a 5V power supply, the power consumption is approximately 4W, allowing the armStone A9r2 to be used without a fan or heatsink.
