In LE mode, the Bluetooth module can achieve data transmission speeds of up to 2 Mbps. To optimize power consumption, the module supports active, standby, and sleep modes.

Nebojsa Matic, CEO of MIKROE, states: "This Click™ board is perfect for developing applications in industrial automation, smart buildings, low-power sensors, configurable and wirelessly connected equipment, etc."
One of the key features of this module is its approach angle (AoA) and departure angle (AoD) measurement, supported by a Bluetooth 5.1 direction finding service. These features can be used for indoor positioning, wayfinding, asset tracking, and much more.
The ANNA-B412 module is powered by the Nordic Semiconductor nRF52833, which includes an integrated 2.4 GHz transceiver with a +8 dBm output power and a powerful Arm Cortex-M4 processor with FPU. It is also equipped with 512 kB of flash memory and 128 kB of RAM. For Bluetooth connectivity in the 2.4 GHz frequency band, the ANNA-B412 Click board is equipped with a printed PCB antenna that supports 40 channels. The Bluetooth antenna has a maximum radiated output power of +9 dBm. For NFC, the ANNA-B412 Click is equipped with a u.Fl connector and can function as a 13.56 MHz NFC tag at a bit rate of 106 kbps.

Two buttons (T1 and T2) can be used to control the system, providing functionalities including: restoring factory settings; connecting to a Bluetooth LE peripheral device; and entering or exiting bootloader mode. The integrated RGB LED indicates system status signals, which can be: idle in Data/Extended Data mode, idle in Command mode, connecting, and connected. Additionally, the ANNA-B412 Click is equipped with ten u-connectXpress I/O pins, separated into two headers, which can be used for user-configurable purposes.

The ANNA B412 Click uses a 4-wire UART interface to communicate with the host MCU, featuring a common RX/TX UART and an RTS/CTS UART as UART control flow pins. Additionally, the DTR data terminal ready UART and the DSR data set ready UART are also available. The default baud rate is 115200 bps. The RST pin can be used to reset the module with an active LOW. Besides the provided library, you can use a set of AT commands to control the ANNA B-412 module via the UART interface. The ANNA-B412 Click is supported by a mikroSDK-compatible library, which includes features that simplify software development. This Click board™ comes as a fully tested product, ready for use in a system equipped with a mikroBUS™ socket.
Click boards follow mikroBUS™, a modular prototyping add-on board standard invented by MIKROE, which allows design engineers to easily swap peripherals, cutting months of development time. Any Click board can be connected to the microcontroller or microprocessor on a main board. Many leading microcontroller companies, such as Microchip, NXP, Infineon, Dialog, STM, Analog Devices, Renesas, and Toshiba, now include the mikroBUS socket on their development boards.
