The demo is based on the STDES-PTOOL3A reference design, whose Gerber files, parts list, schematics, and other reference materials can be downloaded free of charge from the ST.com website. It demonstrates the capabilities of the STMicroelectronics STM32G4 microcontroller and STDRIVE101 gate driver to drive six STL220N6F7 MOSFETs, all compatible with a Würth Elektronik SMD ferrite bead (WE-CBF SMT EMI Suppression Ferrite Bead 74279271) and power inductor (WE-LHMI SMT Power Inductor 74437368330), and highlights the design's advantages in terms of performance, cost, quality, and ease of implementation. The program code embedded in the STM32G4 was developed using the STM32 Motor Control Software Development Kit (X-CUBE-MCSDK). The design shows real-world application scenarios in battery-powered power tools.
