The Renesas Synergy platform, winner of the 2015 Elektra Internet of Things Product Innovation Award, is a complete and qualified platform for developing embedded and IoT applications. It was designed to provide engineers with a platform that already has the basic system elements implemented, configured, and tested. This allows engineers to eliminate the time typically required to implement and integrate baseline functionality and move almost immediately to product design, potentially reducing time to market by months. This enables system manufacturers to truly differentiate and increase the value of the final product they create.

The SSP, the core of the Renesas Synergy platform, integrates a real-time operating system with a rich set of utilities, drivers, libraries, software stacks, and the application framework—all specifically optimized for the Renesas Synergy MCU architecture and fully supported by Renesas. Version 1.0.0 is the first fully qualified and usable SSP version for mass-production products.

The first devices in the Renesas Synergy MCU family to enter mass production, the S7G2 Group of MCUs provides a high-performance CPU core and large flash memory size for high-performance human-machine interface (HMI) applications.

Cypherbridge Systems, Icon Labs, and Skkynet, all members of the VSA Program, are the first program members to offer the platform's production-ready software through Renesas Synergy Gallery, the global online source for Renesas Synergy Software.
