The Grinn GenioBoard – Edge AI SBC is a powerful starting point for developing local AI applications focused on computer vision. The following use cases illustrate its potential: remote monitoring and control with AI-based person and object recognition, computer vision for industrial robotics applications, and HMIs with gesture recognition. Powerful and energy-efficient, the Grinn GenioBoard supports safety-critical applications with Infineon's OPTIGA™ Trust M SLS32AIA010M security module. The GenioSOM-700 is a System-on-Module based on the MediaTek MT8390 platform and integrates a CPU, NPU, and GPU. The GenioBoard features an M.2 M-Key slot for AI accelerators, such as the DEEPX DX-M1 M, and an M.2 E-Key slot for wireless communication modules. In this context, Würth Elektronik will offer three dedicated M.2 modules for LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, along with the corresponding antennas. The prototypes already available offer a glimpse into these powerful solutions. Additionally, a sensor board for the 40-pin GPIO connector will be available, enabling quick and easy evaluation of pressure, acceleration, temperature, and humidity sensors.

“Thanks to our collaboration with Grinn, we have become an Edge AI design facilitator. Whether it’s EMC, power supply, thermal management, wireless connectivity, sensors, or cybersecurity, we bring together all the key competencies under one roof and support our customers throughout the entire process, from the initial idea to the final product ready for manufacturing,” explains Alexander Gerfer, CTO of the Würth Elektronik eiSos group.

“In Grinn, we have found a solid partner that has been developing innovative systems for 18 years, with quality standards and a service orientation that perfectly align with our own.” “With our Genio Systems-on-Module and the development board presented at Embedded World at the Würth Elektronik booth, developers can typically reduce the time from concept to final product by about twelve months. Würth Elektronik’s support will make it even easier for companies to develop robust and durable IoT solutions with smart peripherals,” says Robert Orteba, CEO of Grinn sp. z oo. “We are delighted to have found a strong and reputable partner in Würth Elektronik.”.
